What to expect?

Aftermovie 2026, 15th edition

Opening

Every year the Health Business Week has a grand opening. The annual theme is the central connection between all the presentations. Different inspiring speakers will talk about it from their various perspectives. It is the best visited event where students, companies and visitees are present! After the program there is a network drink with delicious appetizers. Some of the speakers will join the network drink, therefore all students were able to get to know them even further. It is a great way to start the Health Business Week!

Healthcare Debate

Most activities during the Health Business Week are provided by the participating companies, but the committee organizes various events as well. This year two healthcare debates will take place, in addition to the opening. The theme of both events is related to the annual theme. During the healthcare debate there are speakers representing different perspectives on a specific issue, with one supervisor moderating the discussion. At the end the day supervisor may ask the audience for questions. After the debate, the event will be finished with a network drink.

Company Presentations

During the two weeks of our Health Business Week program many presentations and business cases of the participating companies take place. During the company presentations you will get an impression of what the companies do. Most of the time employees will tell how they experience working there. It gives you the opportunity to see which different types of companies there are in the healthcare sector and you can also discover what you are most interested in.

Business Cases

When a company really appeals to you, it is also possible to participate in a business case. During a business case you will be involved in a dynamic and interesting case, which is representative of something that could really have happened within the company. The company will first introduce themselves and teach you some background information that is necessary in order to lead the assignment in the right direction. The assignment is commonly divided in smaller subgroups and in the end the findings will be discussed plenary. In this case you can get to know the company even better and discover if it fits your expectations.

Speed Interviews

During the speed interviews, students have the chance to engage in a 10-minute, one-on-one or one-on-two conversation with representatives from a company. A few weeks before the Health Business Week students send their resume to the company in which they are interested in. The students that are selected by the companies, will be invited to attend the speed interviews. This allows them to find their next internship or even a new job!

Company Dinner

During the company dinner, companies and students will sit down for a shared meal. In an informal setting, there will be plenty of opportunity to exchange experiences, answer questions, and get to know each other better. This activity provides an opportunity for meaningful connections and valuable conversations.

Informal Recruitment

Informal Recruitment offers the opportunity to network in a relaxed and accessible way. Past years recruitment activities were, for example, golfing, boules of petanque and a high tea. Students and companies are presented the opportunity to be active while having a chat about potential future job opportunities. All in all, a fun and useful experience for every participant!

Network drinks

The network drinks are the ideal time for students to catch up with each other in an informal way while enjoying a snack and a drink. There is also the possibility to start a conversation with participating companies. In this way the companies get to know the students better and potentially contact details can be exchanged.

Closing Party

Every year, the Health Business Week ends with a closing party for all students who participated. Over a drink, the past weeks can be discussed. Especially for the committee, this is a great moment to celebrate the success of the HBW. Everyone has a good time, and people talk and dance lot. In conclusion, a successful end of the Health Business Week!
